The Bachelor Party

You are probably reading this because you are lucky enough to have been chosen to be a best man for either your brothers Houston wedding or the best man of your best friends wedding party in Houston. So as the best man, this is your one chance to throw him the bash of a lifetime. However, the question remains; what to do? Below, we have listed some bachelor party tips, both traditional and unique to make the bachelor party memorable for your Houston wedding celebration!

1) Strippers and Strip Clubs
This one falls under the traditional category, unsurprisingly there will always be one person in the group that will insist that it's not really a Houston wedding bachelor party unless naked women are involved in either a banquet hall setting or at a strip club. However, don't let this individual make the decisions for the rest of you. As the best man, make sure that you consult with the groom first and see how he feels about it. Remember, it is his party and he will be the one who has to face the music of this soon to be wife if things do not work out. So if the groom does not want strippers, then simply let it go, PLEASE DO NOT FORCE IT ON HIM!

However, if the groom does want strippers, then you have to make the decision of either having the strippers drop in to the location that you are holding the bachelor party for your Houston wedding or to have a night out and plan to visit a strip club with all of the guys invited to the bachelor party. We also advise that you do a combination of things with having the main underlining theme are the strippers themselves. Things like having dinner, a poker party followed by going to a strip club or inviting strippers over to your place. By doing this, you will have covered all of your angles by offering something for every guest. There might be a chance that some guys will not be comfortable with strippers around so by having the option of a poker game and dinner, then those who want to participate in the bachelor party can do so without having to take part in the strippers.

2) A Sports-Theme Bachelor Party
This option falls under the nouveau-riche idea for a bachelor party for your Houston wedding. Sports is an activity that will always bring men together in a form of a bonding ritual. You can organize a soccer tournament or maybe a golf tournament. You could even make T-Shirts designating certain guys on certain teams and do an all day sporting outing for your bachelor party. Remember to get approval from the groom because he might want to be more traditional in his approach by having older gentlemen who might be able to participate in sporting events. Also to keep in mind if you want to have a sporting tournament during the day or in the evening for your Houston bachelor party, so after the event you will need a thirst-quenching celebration following the event is an important part of any tournament. Below is a list of other sports you might want to consider:

  • Tennis
  • Basketball
  • Baseball
  • Football
  • Volleyball

Finally, if everyone who will be attending the bachelor party enjoys sports however, only by watching a game then you should consider organizing tickets for everyone to watch a sporting event live. You can get tickets for the Houston Raptors, Houston Blue Jays, Houston Argos and Houston Maple Leafs. You can even make it more fun by tailgating or getting the stadium to put the groom's name up on the scoreboard.

3) An Outdoor Bachelor Party

No we do not mean to hold your bachelor party outside, we mean throwing a party in the woods, having all the guys who will be attending the bachelor party in Houston to hang out and to have them attempt some crazy but adventurous stunts all while eating and drinking the night away. At the end of the adventure-filled day, sit around a bonfire and share cute stories about the groom's past memories both good and bad.
